Eradication of Invader Plants Sector.
Since 2005, PTS has trained over 1200 students in the field of Chainsaw, BrushCutter, Herbicide,
Health and Safety and First Aid by delivering training on site and fully equipped as per Dept of
Labour Standards.
PTS are accredited by FP&M Seta (use to be FIETA - forestry Industry Education and Training
Authority).
Aim
• To develop & enhance the contextual understanding, functional
knowledge and practical
skills of trainees.
• Empower trainees to execute their tasks in a professional manner.
• Equip learners with market directed skills
• All training must constitute credits towards National
Qualifications
Objectives
Identify and utilize income generating opportunities within the
Eradication of Intruder Plants
Environment by negotiating possible funding for training with the
EPWP (Extended Public Works
Programme, Forestry, Agricultural and Seta’s, or any other private
institution thus providing
candidates with the necessary NQF aligned qualifications to secure
employment for learners.
